INGREDIENTS to make 10 :-

10 small even-sized mushrooms

¼ packet garlic and herb cheese

1 egg - lightly beaten

1 slice white bread - turned into breadcrumbs


Wipe the mushrooms clean with damp kitchen paper.

Do not wash in water, because they will become waterlogged like a sponge.

Remove the mushroom stalks (use them elsewhere in cooking).

Fill the mushroom cavities with the cheese, and smooth the top.

Lightly brush the cheese with egg wash.

Dip in the breadcrumbs until the cheese is coated.

Grill until the breadcrumbs are brown, and serve immediately.
