CHOCOLATE OATIES

INGREDIENTS to make about 30 oaties :-

softened butter

light muscovado sugar

porridge oats

plain chocolate

white chocolate

glacé cherries

METHOD :-

Beat the butter and sugars together.

Add the flour and oats, and stir until blended.

Roughly chop the chocolates and cherries.

Stir all the remaining ingredients into the mixture.

Shape into rough balls about golf ball size.

Flatten slightly and place spaced apart on baking parchment on a baking tray.

About 9 per tray is ideal.

Bake at Gas mark 4 / 350oF. / 180oC. (160oC. for fan assisted oven) for 15 - 20 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly before removing onto a cooling tray.

Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight tin.
