INGREDIENTS to serve 6 - 8 people :-

sponge fingers or Swiss roll

sweet sherry

double cream

strawberries

sugar to taste

 

METHOD :-

Dip the sponge fingers or sliced Swiss roll into the sweet sherry to moisten.

Whip the double cream until stiff.

Hull and slice the strawberries and add sugar to taste.

Place the ingredients in layers into a glass bowl, and repeat until used up.

Chill until required for about 2 hours.
