TOMATOES BAKED WITH BASIL

Tomato Filling :-

Crumble Topping :-

METHOD :-

Wash and thinly slice the tomatoes and spring onions.

Lightly grease a 2-pint casserole dish and layer with the sliced tomatoes, spring onions, roughly torn basil leaves, and seasonings.

Rub the margarine into the flour until the mixture resembles ground almonds.

Add the nuts or seeds, and roughly torn basil leaves.

Cover the tomato filling with the crumble topping evenly distributed.

Bake at Gas mark 5 / 375oF. / 190oC. for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
