Dear Vera & Don, |
Thank you for the Greeting card, I was pleased to hear from you, also to know Babs had written to you, she has been most helpful in so many ways. |
I now feel I should have sent you a line before, life is a terrible rush here most days, we have 36 old people. |
Yes it's sad Dad is no longer with us, seems impossible after all these years, he was 94 years, wonderful too, he did not suffer, one big blessing. We have been worried and worried for several years over cancer in his mouth, spread to his tongue and would have reached his throat in time after several years of treatment he had too. |
Babs' husband died in the same Nursing Home at Bournemouth of the same complaint not two years ago yet. |
I did think of you but felt sure you couldn't have reached Bournemouth. Rosemary and I had a good train journey down, but were 5 hours getting home then got a taxi. Lovely service as he would have wished. |
Rosemary passed The City & Guild, London Institute Exam with credit into 4th year at College now. |
Hope you are all well. |
My wishes & love |
